THIS IS LED SETUP
In a lightshow world where it’s nearly impossible to address controllers in the same way, something needed to be done about this. LED Setup fixes this issue in a super intuitive way that is focused on ease of setup for new users, the advanced settings are hidden away for the pros to mess around with, giving complete uniformity across 12 different controllers for the perfect and most seamless experience when transitioning between controllers. When choosing your controller, this device will listen to see if your output device is set, and if it is, it’ll set the output channel for you, no need to remember which device is on which channel! If your output ports are not configured yet, you’ll get a message telling you to configure them, and then it will try again.
The simplest LED configurator for MIDI Controllers in Ableton Live
OVERVIEW
(Formerly Output Manager, PMO, or Top/Mode Lights 2.0)
LED Setup is by far the simplest way to configure your output device in Ableton Live, with unique features such as automatic channel setting, based on the device you pick, and auto kicking into Legacy or User mode, for the best experience while performing. These features can be turned off, however.
LED Setup allows for the outgoing MIDI messages to be modified, configuring exactly how the final visuals will look on your device. This includes features such as color profiles, which can be switched to match Launchpad S colors etc, as well as Top Light conversion, to enable to use of every single LED on your device. LED Setup also had the ability to hide extra lights such as User 1 or the Mode light on Launchpad Pro. This plugin also allows for scale changing if you choose to use your device in standalone mode, as well as custom channels, which will be given to the end-user of your Launchpad project telling them how to set it up correctly. Finally, LED Setup has integrated flicker reduction, if you feel your Launchpad lights are flashing too much, turning this on may help with this issue.
Setup
LED Setup can either be placed at the end of your lights track if you plan on using one channel, or if you have multiple channels routing to one, using Portal or Ableton’s routing, place this on its own track with the track output set to your controller.
